Having cut their teeth by singing Beatle harmonies and instrumentally recreating the sounds of Cream and Led Zeppelin, the band injects a vintage vibe into their exciting and plucky songwriting. The Starting Early EP was released early in 2022 and is the band’s first major release.

Adam Forbes

Adam Forbes is a guitarist and singer/songwriter based in Washington, DC. He has been playing guitar since he was 9 years old when he received his first guitar for Christmas. In addition to doing solo acoustic performances, he also is the lead guitarist and singer in local DC band Sidewalk Soul. He frequently performs at venues in DC, Maryland and Virginia, as well as in other parts of the county. His styles and influences include a wide range of performers including Pete Townshend, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Gordon Lightfoot, Jimi Hendrix, Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder (amongst many, many others). His style blends baritone vocals with both aggressive strumming and meticulous finger picking.

Love, Old Crow Medicine Show, and David Gray.  In February of 2014, Trawick won “Song of the Year” at the Washington Area Music Awards for his solo recording of “All the Places That I’ve Been,” which can be downloaded on iTunes as a single along with his five other solo records and EPs.

Daniel, the lead guitarist and singer, leads 9th Gear with the band's help. 9th Gear brings an energetic feeling to any venue they perform at, all while giving the people incredible and unique renditions of crowd-favorite songs. Not only does 9th Gear have fantastic chemistry within the band, but they also have it with any crowd. 

9th Gear is a favorite in some of the biggest clubs in DC, private events, weddings, and festivals. They’re known for their original twist on fan-favorite songs from almost all genres. 9th Gear can adapt to any situation and find a balance with all types of material while giving you a fantastic performance. They cater to any crowd with pop, R&B, hip-hop, rock, classic rock, Americana, country, mo-town, etc. They are one of the rare bands that can genuinely perform and adapt to any genre.
