Brian Franke is an independent award-winning singer/songwriter and cover artist residing in Central Virginia. Since 2009 he has made music his career playing over 250 shows each year both locally and as a touring artist. He is known for his versatility of being able to play a wide range of genres from laid back, chill and easy listening music at wineries to rocking out at high energy bars and music venues. Additionally, he has released three independent albums, two solo and one with his duo FarAway.

I live in Northern Virginia and perform throughout the DMV area as both a solo acoustic artist (guitar/vocals) and as part of several cover bands, playing a wide range of music—rock, classic rock, Americana, folk, and alternative—from the ’60s to today.

Sharif has made quite a name for himself on the charts and on the touring front from playing intimate solo acoustic shows of his original material to belting out cover tunes (from Rihanna's "Disturbia" to Maroon 5's "Won't Go Home Without You" to Beastie Boys "Girls") at biker bars, to opening for the likes of Jason Mraz, Kenny Loggins, Rhett Miller, Rusted Root, and Blake Shelton. "Music consumes me," explains Sharif, who has approximately 2,000 shows around the world under his belt.
